A Sentence A Day: February 2022

March 7, 2022 By Janetti Spaghetti

Ah February … a month filled with family, food, fun, fashion, floods, Fleur and the occasional FFS!

1 February – The husbear is still away, he’s been staying with his mum who is poorly. Meanwhile I had a crazy busy day at work – the phone didn’t stop!

2 February – Such a hot and humid day! I reckon February is always the worst of the summer months. The kitties looked hot and miserable too so I gave them each a treat – a little bit of milk for Seth (I know it’s not great for cats but he loves it so, and I only give him a little bit every now and then), and some fresh grass for Fleur to nibble on. For dinner I turned to good ol’ comfort food for myself, and made steak and chips.

6 February – Sunday sleep in 🙂 .

7 February – The husbear and I did a grocery shop after work, there are still lots of gaps on the shelves due to supply chain problems. It really is a case of making do with what’s there rather than having a set list of things to buy!

8 February – Off to the dentist for a checkup, not my favourite thing to do but good to know everything looks fine!

10 February – One of the benefits of working from home is being able to make my own lunch. Today I had a baked potato with bacon, onion, capsicum, zucchini and sour cream. Nom nom nom!

18 February – Sorry guys, I didn’t write anything down! Bad blogger.

19 February – We went out for (a very belated birthday) dinner with my parents at Cafe Marinara at Hawthorne, an Italian restaurant so authentic all the wait staff seem to be Italian! Brisbane is such a small town – bumped into one of my lovely clients and had a quick chat.

26 February – Yep, not going anywhere. This rain is crazy and many areas are flooding. We spent a lazy day watching movies with the kitties. They look like they’re plotting together in the pic below … or about to fight over the last cat bikkie on the plate in front of them!

27 February – The rain is relentless, I estimate we’ve had over 500 mm in the last couple of days. We are fortunate to live high on a hill but it’s still worrying, and we are horrified by the flooding we are seeing on TV. This is the view from our deck, as the rain continued to pour throughout the night.
