Ah April, what can I say?! Before I sum it up in a Sentence A Day, here’s a quick acrostic (yep, total word nerd here):
- A is for an Aquarium visit and Anzac Day.
- P is for painting and PRP therapy.
- R is for rest and recreation.
- I is for island time.
- L is for loving life!
April – Still at our island getaway for the last day of the Easter break … went fishing and caught two nice sized bream and a flathead!
April – Another working week under way, check out the colours of sunset – reflected on the eastern sky!
April – All class we are – romantic night out at KFC!
April –
April – No early Friday knock-off for me, I wanted to get a few things wrapped up so I can take Monday off.
April – A very special night out at a Paint & Sip, courtesy of our son and daughter-in-law – the Christmas gift they gave to both sides of the family 🙂 . The first pic is of me and my kidults, Mr Almost 30 and Miss 27.
April – A quiet Sunday at home; was surprised to received an Amazon delivery, a book I only ordered on Friday!
April – Took the day off, so my sister and I could celebrate her birthday with a visit to Sea Life aquarium on the Sunshine Coast. Worked out it had been 30 years since the last time I was there – when I was pregnant with our son!
April – Having such a good hair day I insisted that the husbear had to snap a pic for me 😉 .
April – My day started with a networking meeting at 7am, and finished with another one in the evening … at least a 12 hour work day! Yep, such is the life of a small business owner. Lucky I love what I do!
April – First sign that the seasons are changing, with a cooler day (finally!).
April – Out and about so managed to squeeze in a coffee with our gorgeous daughter; by nightfall the husbear and I were both feeling pretty shattered but we had a good reason not to collapse in a heap on the couch – tickets to see the Rogue Traders duo! It was ok, but must confess I felt it was a little lacking despite singer Nat Bass’ (Natalie Bassingthwaite) best efforts, realised I *much* prefer a live band.
April – Spent the weekend on Coochiemudlo Island, gorgeous sunset walk on the beach.
April – Went fishing again but this time all we caught was a puffer fish, LOL. Returned to the mainland only to find our car’s petrol tank had been broken into … yet the tank (which I’d filled on Friday) was still full! The fuel cap had been stolen so perhaps they were disturbed before they could steal the fuel.
April – Fleur has found a new hidey hole in my office …
April – Hey, this low carb diet appears to be working! I was 87.8kg in January. Look at me now!
April – Wednesday means it’s my BNI meeting first thing. I also had a follow up visit with my doctor, who told me I’ve lost 7cm around my waist! Now just to get the blood test results – fingers crossed my blood sugar levels have also dropped.
April – Cute pic of us setting out for the day – hubby off to get the train to work, while I’m off for a walk.
April – Went to a couple of business networks today, and came home with 5 solid leads to follow up … now that’s what I’m talking about! In the evening, the husbear had a mate over and we wished him a very happy birthday! (Hint: he WASN’T 1, LOL, it was the only candle we could find!)
April – I loved our paint and sip so much I decided to try a bit of painting at home. It’s nowhere near finished, and I’m definitely not the next Picasso, but it was a bit of fun 🙂 .
April – The weather was lousy but we still had a lovely day, meeting my parents for lunch at an Italian restaurant.
April – Seth looks like he’s begging for a belly rub – but be warned, it’s a trap for the unwary!!!!!
April – This afternoon I had PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy for the arthritis in my hands … I think there’s a whole blog post in THAT experience. Let’s just say it fricken hurt!!!!
April – The husbear drove me to my BNI meeting, and I got a bus home, then took the rest of the day off. I’m supposed to be resting my hands after the PRP injections, so no driving, typing, housework for me. You can see a bit of the bruising at the base of my thumbs.
April – We sat out on the deck for ages waiting for the Anzac Day flyover, it was meant to be at 10.50am but ended up being more like 11.30am and a long way away. This vapor stream from a completely unrelated plane, which I snapped while we were waiting, looked impressive though!
April – I’d hoped to be back at work but was still feeling poorly after PRP therapy. Miss Fleur kept me company on the couch 😉 .
& 28 April – Spent the weekend resting and recuperating at our island getaway.
April – Back to work though I tried to take it a bit easy. In the evening we watched an apocalyptic movie called “Greenland” on Netflix, but my eye must have had something in it – it was sore and watering and driving me nuts!
April – The husbear surprised me with this onion gift, which made me burst out laughing. It’s from a Korean TV series we recently binge-watched on Netflix, called “She Was Pretty”.
