Ooops I did it again!
Last May was the “month of Miss Fleur” … but it seems this edition of A Sentence A Day may have pipped it at the post, for the number of entries starring the princess diva puss kitty herself, that fabulous feline, Miss Fleur!
April – So my usual business mastermind was online today due to the latest coronavirus lockdown. I wanted to take some notes, but Miss Fleur had other ideas … planting herself squarely on my notebook!
April – I know it was Good Friday but I seriously have no idea what I did as I didn’t put anything in my diary – so I’m guessing, not much?!
April – Shopping with my girl and I picked up a lovely red jacket reduced by 60% (in the pic below I’m wearing the same jacket, except in green); in the evening we had dinner with my parents, a belated birthday catch up for my stepmum.
April – I made a little lamb roast to celebrate Easter Sunday, though for the first time in 26 years it was just the husbear and I!
April – The kids popped over and we had some fun with our paint by numbers kits from Kmart.
April – Back to the office Take 2! Last month the husbear went back to his office after a year of working from home; but at the end of the first day, another snap lockdown was announced. Fleur was very sad when she saw the husbear’s briefcase, she knows what that means …
April – Miss Fleur had a wonderful time playing with a little box which I’d filled with some of her favourite cat treats.
April – Two client meetings today, one via Zoom, one at a local cafe over a peppermint tea.
April – The first sunny day in ages! I had a doctor’s appointment and got my first ever e-script.
April – Took my sister out for lunch on the Redcliffe waterfront to celebrate her recent birthday.
April – Fleur and I enjoyed a Sunday sleep in.
April – Autumn has arrived, this was the first day I didn’t need to run the air con in my office.
April – I attended a webinar held by the local Chamber of Commerce, on working out your profit – afterwards I was actually excited about playing with numbers for the first time in my life!
April – Now the husbear is back at work, my new team member came in to work at my home office instead. Poor Miss Fleur looked very confused to see somebody different sitting at her daddy’s desk!
April – The husbear and I had arranged to meet at the shops after work and ended up bumping into Miss 24 and her fiance; we all ended up at Bunnings.
April – Meeting with a potential client over a coffee and this gorgeous mini caramel pecan tart.
April – Mr 26 came over and helped the husbear to finish the back fence; meanwhile I went to an open day at my local yoga centre, for a taster of a few different styles of yoga. My PT will definitely approve!
April – Super-chilled Sunday … Miss 24 and I watched “Yes Day” on Netflix.
April – The husbear and I drove to Wellington Point after dinner and went for a walk, for a change of scenery.
April – I fell in love with a dress I tried on while at Redcliffe with my sister, then kicked myself for not buying it. Ended up ordering it online and it arrived today 🙂 .
April – Found out today that our neighbour’s house sold for a record price – over $200k more than they paid four years ago!
April – Had a blast doing a guest speaking gig at Mums in Business International on Brisbane’s northside; in the evening I attended a candlelight restorative yoga session. Bliss!
April – Attended a Bayside Women in Business luncheon.
April – Grocery shopping; a massage, then I got to do a little bit of writing (that’s my ‘me’ time!); and watched a movie ‘Stowaway’ on Netflix with the husbear.
April – The kids came over for an Anzac Day BBQ and we had lots of fun playing with bubbles in the backyard 🙂 .
April – It might have been a public holiday for Anzac Day, but I ended up working. In the evening I made some bliss balls and worked on my latest puzzle.
April – Apparently the fishing is really good when there’s a full moon (turns out it was a super moon, and a pink moon at that!), so after dinner the husbear went fishing with a mate – and came home with half a dozen bream. The kitties were impressed!
April – Signed up a new client that I’ve been buttering up since the end of last year 😉 .
April – Finished my latest puzzle.
April – So at work today I learned how to reuse a slide from one Powerpoint presentation and drop it into another. I’ve done heaps of PPTs in my time but somehow had never mastered this step. It’s gonna save me so much time!
May is gonna be marvellous … I love this time of year, as the weather starts to cool down. Plus there’s our wedding anniversary, Mother’s Day, our son’s birthday … let the good times roll!
What’s your favourite entry in this edition of A Sentence A Day?!
Not even a professional painter (can you believe it!?) says

Hey thanks Victoria! I do too … sadly it’s getting a bit cool for it now but I’m sure it’ll get a lot of wear next summer!!!
